How can I contact the ERES office?

Does ERES accept Fax?

Unfortunately, we are not accepting Fax at this moment.

How do I get started with the process of obtaining an ERES evaluation?

You can apply by creating an ERES account and follow the steps to submit your application and it will also direct you to prepare and send us the required documents.

What should I do if I lost my password?

On the sign in page, please click on “Forgot Password” and follow the steps ( if more than one step ) to reset your password.

Can I talk to my evaluator?

Your evaluator’s contact info will be available in your account once the evaluation has been assigned. Feel free to contact them if you have any questions regarding the evaluation.

Can I schedule an appointment or visit ERES’s office to discuss my particular circumstance?

Yes, our office is open for walk-ins and office administrators are available for general questions. If you have detail questions and would like to talk to one of our evaluators. We can schedule a 30 mins consultation for you. (additional fee may apply)

What is an ERES reference#?

Once your application has been submitted to ERES, you will receive a unique ERES reference#. It will also be shown on your evaluation report. You must obtain this # before sending us your originals, otherwise, they can’t be accepted.

Where can I find my ERES reference#?

If you have an ERES online account and applied your evaluation under your account, then the reference # is in your dashboard. You may also find the # on your evaluation report in a format as XX-XX-XXX or XX-XX-XXXX.

How long will ERES keep my application on hold?

ERES can hold your application up to one year from the date we received. After this period, your application will be deactivated. Reactivation is possible only during the one-year period following the deactivation by contacting ERES and paying the current reactivation fee. After these two years from your application date, a new application and full payment would be required to complete an evaluation.

What must I do to obtain a California Teaching Credential?

ERES is available to help you complete the evaluation report that the California Commission on Teacher’s Credentialing (CTC) required. However, you must contact the California Commission on Teacher’s Credentialing (CTC) and follow their Instructions. CTC’s toll-free phone number is (888) 921-2682. On what basis does ERES determine its equivalency?

Our equivalency is determined based on years of research and examining on educational systems, accreditation of institutions and programs, programs’ structure, etc. It represents the best comparable result from the original system to U.S. system.

Who will accept an ERES evaluation?

ERES is one of the NACES (the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services) members and our evaluation is generally accepted nationwide.

What does an evaluation include?

A regular evaluation is a five-part narrative report that includes the purpose of your evaluation, a summary of our education, a description of the institution(s) you attended, a description of the documents submitted and a concluding statement certifying the equivalency of your education in the United States. An official report and an unofficial report are initially included and additional official reports are available upon request. (Official report will be invalid once it’s opened from the sealed envelope with ERES embossed decal.)

Does ERES have a list of all the state licensing boards, institutions or organizations?

Unfortunately, since policies from each state licensing boards, institutions or organizations may frequently change. We don’t have a comprehensive list at this moment, and we highly suggest contacting and enquiring a requirement of evaluation from where you would like to apply.

I had an evaluation with another agency, can I send the result to ERES to perform an evaluation?

Unfortunately, we can’t accept any evaluation result from another agency as the original documents, but feel free to provide it as a reference.

How do I know if my documents and payment are submitted completely?

After your application is submitted, you may access your ERES account on our website to check the status (such as whether your documents are received or not, what’s your current stage, etc.). Also, email notifications will be sent to you automatically.

Rush Service

How long does the evaluation take or what is the turnaround time?

After all the required documents are submitted, a Regular Evaluation will take anywhere from 5 weeks to 7 weeks and a Nursing Evaluation will take 8 to 10 weeks.

Is there a rush service?

Yes, Rush Service is available upon request.

Can I upgrade to rush service after I submit my application?

Yes, but the starting date will count from the date you upgrade.

Additional Copy

Does ERES save records of my Evaluation and Documents? Or How long would my evaluation report be valid?

Applicant hereby authorizes ERES to retain all documents submitted in connection with an Application for a period of up to five (5) years. You may apply for additional copies within this period. If Applicant wishes to withdraw such authorization, Applicant may so notify ERES in writing, in which case ERES shall destroy all such documents and records (including evaluation reports) with respect to such Applicant.

How do I apply for an additional official report?

If you have an ERES online account, you may click on “Order Extra Copies” for your existing valid application. Alternatively, you can download and use our ● Additional Copy Form.

Can I get a copy of my academic records from ERES?

Usually, if your documents are affiliated to a valid ERES evaluation report, you may pay to retrieve a certified true copy from ERES. However, if there is a (do not share with the student) restriction from the issued authority, then we can’t accept the request.

Can I get my result before I apply for the evaluation?

Yes, you may request a pre-evaluation (originals are not required, and we can work with clear scan copies) before you even start applying the official evaluation. However, the result can only be used as a reference and official evaluation result is not guaranteed to be the same since the authenticity is not verified in a pre-evaluation. Pre-evaluation fee paid can’t be deducted towards any official evaluations.

Cancellation

What if I decide to cancel the evaluation?

With respect to Standard Evaluations, the cancellation fee payable by Applicant shall be $75 (if within one week of the Start Date) or half of the total amount paid in connection with such Application (if within two weeks of the Start Date). After two weeks, no refund will be made. Additionally, once documents are determined as fraudulent records, no refund will be made as well.

How do I cancel my evaluation?
If you decide to cancel your evaluation, please email edu@eres.com with a written statement so we can execute.
